Pulse
Pulse is where your assistants reach you between chats. It shows what your automations did, what your assistants noticed or want to ask, activity from people in chats and projects you share, and which conversations have unread messages. Pulse isn’t in the sidebar at the moment; open it at app.cochat.ai/pulse.
The four tabs
Section titled “The four tabs”| Tab | What’s in it |
|---|---|
| All Activity | Everything below merged into one feed, plus activity from collaborators in chats and projects you share |
| Messages | CoChat chats with unread messages |
| Automations | One card per automation run |
| Insights | Things your assistants posted on their own: insight cards, questions for you, and the weekly Radar digest |
Each tab shows a badge with how many new items it has. Opening Pulse marks the Activity, Automations and Insights tabs as seen; the Messages badge only clears when you actually read the chats (or click Mark all as read).
Reading the feed
Section titled “Reading the feed”Cards are grouped by day. Each has a title, a type (Automation, Insight, Chat created, Chat invitation, Mention…), where it came from and when, and a one-line summary. Click a card to expand it. Depending on the type you’ll get Open chat, Open project, Chat with agent, Open Library or, on automation cards, View Run — the same run-detail view as the Automations page, without leaving Pulse.
Identical events are folded into one card with an “N× repeated” pill, and routine noise (tool calls, file uploads) is tucked into a collapsed System maintenance card you can expand if you’re curious. Load more activity at the bottom pages back through history.
Your own ordinary chat messages don’t appear here — Pulse is for what happened while you weren’t looking.
Answering a question
Section titled “Answering a question”An assistant working on its own can ask you something. The question card opens expanded and offers either a few option buttons or a text box (Send). After you answer it shows “You answered: …”, and the assistant picks up your reply on its next check-in. Questions expire after 72 hours if unanswered.
Approving drafts
Section titled “Approving drafts”When an assistant set to Ask first finishes a piece of work that would post to Slack, it doesn’t send anything. Instead a Pulse card shows the draft with buttons to post it or discard it. The card then reads “Posted ✓” or “Discarded”. If posting fails, the draft stays pending so you can try again. See Assistants for the autonomy settings.
Messages tab
Section titled “Messages tab”A list of chats with unread messages, with the chat title, the time, and how many unread messages and mentions each has. A row opens the chat. Mark all as read clears everything at once. Slack and Discord threads your assistants are in don’t appear here: read them in Slack or Discord.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Every automation run appears in the Automations tab whether or not “Show in Pulse” is ticked on the automation. That setting controls whether the assistant may post its own insight cards.
- If an assistant would post the same insight twice within a day, the repeat is dropped.
